Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Matias Rizzo (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with Follow App, a personal desktop application for pipeline management and LinkedIn content publishing.

2. About Follow App

Follow App is a desktop application built with Tauri. It is used by Matias Rizzo to manage a business pipeline and publish content to LinkedIn. The app runs locally on the user’s device and does not rely on a cloud backend operated by Matias Rizzo for storing app data.

3. Data we collect

Follow App may store the following information locally on your device:

  • LinkedIn OAuth credentials — access token, refresh token, token expiry, and related identifiers — stored in a local settings.json file on your device.
  • Post content and channel configuration — drafts, scheduled posts, and related settings — stored in a local SQLite database (follow.db) on your device.
  • Other app settings — integration credentials and preferences you configure in the app — also stored locally in settings.json.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. LinkedIn OAuth

When you connect LinkedIn in Follow App, you authorize the app to act on your behalf according to the permissions you grant during OAuth. These may include scopes such as openid, profile, email, and w_member_social (publishing posts as you).

OAuth tokens are exchanged directly between your device and LinkedIn. They are stored only on your local machine and are never uploaded to servers controlled by Matias Rizzo.

LinkedIn’s own privacy practices apply when you use their platform. See LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy for details.

5. Data storage

All Follow App data is stored locally on your computer. There is no cloud backend for Follow App operated by Matias Rizzo. Data remains on your device unless you explicitly send it elsewhere (for example, when publishing a post to LinkedIn).

6. Retention and deletion

  • You can disconnect LinkedIn at any time from Follow App Settings, which removes stored OAuth tokens from settings.json.
  • Uninstalling Follow App removes local application data from your device, including settings.json and the SQLite database.
  • Content already published to LinkedIn remains subject to LinkedIn’s own retention and deletion policies.

7. Third-party services

Follow App communicates with third-party APIs you configure (such as LinkedIn) solely to provide the features you enable. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers inside Follow App.

8. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we process. Because data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by managing or deleting app data as described above. For any other request, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.

10. Contact
